What type of situation do you like to use Super-8 for? What is your favorite type of project that entices you to shoot in Super-8?

I enjoy film. I like to go see movies and understand how they are made and what makes the great ones so special. Super-8 allows me to pursue this as a hobby. I enjoy the challenge of having in my mind a vision of what a film should be like, and then having to figure out how to make it happen.
Lately I've been working on a series of films to take a particular stock and expose it in a season which will allow it to really show it's strengths. My Winter film in Plus-X is in the can. My Autumn film in Kodachrome starts shooting this September. A Summer film along the beaches in Plus-X is a new idea, and would probably happen next year. All of these are titled with verse that I wrote for them, and I play recorded music in the background.

These are kind of cool because I can combine film making with outdoor activities such as canoeing, mountain biking and hiking which I do to get into the natural locations these films require, and get some action in the scenes.

Of course I just slipped and shot 4 cartridges on vacation in Europe, but I'm using it as an opportunity to use film to tell a story, and not just make a home movie kind of thing!

I like that concept, a different film stock for a different season.

I have a couple of favorite Super-8 situations. I like shooting time-lapse imaages and putting that to music, and I like filming runners in slow motion.

I have a portable case that stores up to five super-8 cameras. When I shoot time-lapse, especially time-exposure time-lapse, I like to set-up multiple cameras, Usually five cameras.
